Claire took over as 4NCL
chairman from IM Paul Littlewood, who had been
at the helm for a decade.
Chess trainer, author, radio
personality (Radio 4) and former ECF Director of
Junior Chess & Education, Claire brings fresh
impetus to the role in addition to a unique
wealth of experience.
No stranger to the media, Claire
has appeared several times on Radio 4 and
captained the Pride & Prejudice team on their TV
debut on BBC2's quiz show Eggheads. Claire is a
full time junior chess coach and works in
various London schools including King’s College
Junior School.
