New to the 4NCL
The Four Nations Chess League does not accept responsibility for the content of other websites, to which this site links.
This website includes information on participants in the Four Nations Chess League in respect of name, grade, title, nationality and sex (team registration lists), as well as telephone number(s), email address(es) and postal address(es) in certain circumstances (team captains/managers, management board members, arbiters etc). Participants wishing this information not to be included on the website should contact the webmaster to have it removed, but should be aware that in this event they will not be permitted to play in the league.
The 4NCL will be played at two new venues in 2002/03.
|Birmingham West Bromwich Moat House|
(M5 Jct 1) Birmingham Road
When booking at West Bromwich, ask for Jan, Angie or Katherine, on 0121 609 9988.
|Telford Moat House|

The 4NCL has negotiated special room rates at these hotels - £45 for a double/twin and £33 for a single, both B&B.
Please note, if you want to take advantage of the cheap room rates, it is best to book with the hotels between 9.00 am and 5.30 pm Monday to Friday. Refer to the 'National Chess League' and quote the agreed rates when booking. Any problems in getting a reduced rate, either refer the person you are talking to to the Customer Sales Managers, Nicola Sheard (Telford) and Linda Davis (West Bromwich), or alternatively get in touch with Nicola or Linda directly.
Further details can be obtained at www.moathousehotels.com where you may select the hotel and view various rooms. Customer Service Managers are Linda Davis at West Bromwich and Nicola Sheard at Telford.

Room 4 U
Booking at Telford for the January weekend.
The Telford Moat House have imposed a limit of 100 rooms for chessplayers wishing to book for the Saturday night only. There are a further 50 rooms that are being reserved for non-4NCL hotel guests who typically book weekend breaks (i.e. both Friday and Saturday nights). Clearly, if chess players want to book both the Friday and the Saturday nights, they will have access to these 50 rooms.
If any of the 50 rooms are still free for the Saturday night a week before the 4NCL weekend, these will be released to chess players.
If chess players want to avail themselves of this late room release opportunity, they should ask to be put on the waiting list and get in touch with the hotel a week before the 4NCL weekend. Late room releases will be allocated on the basis of earliest names on the waiting list first.
If chess players would rather not take the risk of being put on the waiting list, the hotel is happy to give details of other hotels close by if asked.
