4NCL Qualification Weekend
|
Ten teams will be contesting the 4NCL’s qualification event over the weekend of 1st, 2nd, 3rd June. This will be the League’s farewell appearance at the Moat House Grand in Colmore Row, Birmingham prior to the hotel’s closure in early August.
At stake are three places in Division 3 for the 2002-03 season. Two of the relegated teams - Guildford-ADC 3 and Poisoned Pawns 2 - will be seeking to regain their status but All Four Corners who finished last will not be continuing in the League.
The relegated teams will be facing a challenge from eight new teams. Metropolitan is a club new to the League, whilst the others - Numerica 3Cs 2, North West Eagles 2, Slough 3, Wessex 2, Mindsportsltd.com 2, White Rose 3 and Athenaeum 2 - are additional teams from clubs already participating in the League.
In the event of any existing team withdrawing from the League, then additional places will become available and these will be filled on the basis of finishing positions at the June event. The updated registration lists for the ten competing teams will posted later in the week.
Update 27/5 - Mindsportsltd.com 2 will not be participating.
